Why?
Because I don’t suffer under the delusion that the internet is going to make me money, or gain me celebrity stature. When I blog I blog because I want to, not because there is a check coming in the mail at the end of each month. All the stuff I write is for my own personal enjoyment, if you want to take it and sell it, go ahead I don’t care.
Unfortunately not everyone sees it the same way. Externally linked content still suffers under whatever copyright the creator feels is necessary.
